Description

Pocahontas is a secluded gem, nestled just inside the east boundary of the park on the Miette Road. Pocahontas offers basic services, including running water, fire rings and flush toilets (no showers). Best suited for tenting, and motorhomes and trailers under 27 feet. To keep pets and wildlife safe, your pets must be leashed at all times and not left unattended. Pet food should be stored inside your vehicle. Generators are permitted daily between 8 am 9:30 am and 5 pm 7 pm only. Firewood is included with the purchase of a fire permit and bear proof lockers are offered for safe food storage. To maintain the family-friendly atmosphere that attracts millions here every year, quiet hours, including a liquor, cannabis and fire curfew, are enforced by park wardens between 11 pm and 7 am. Note: Demand is heaviest from June through September, with July and August being the busiest. To avoid disappointment, make sure you have a camping reservation before coming to Jasper National Park.

Nice spot quite a drive from Jasper township. Miette Springs nearby are fantastic and worth the drive.
