Wonderful in season. Especially on warm summer weekends, lots of happy families lay out lunches on the grass that runs next to this long beach. The water is shallow and warm for quite a ways out from the shore, making this beach comparatively safe for younger children. Only a grouch could be in a bad mood on such days. ;-)

Great lake to go to when it's nice and hot. Get there very early or else you won't find any parking or place to put your stuff on the beach!
