Security came and told us, that overnight parking is forbidden. We parked the whole day for 13$. Not that bad, too. Nice walk (~45min) Alsina the river to downtown.

Zoo security came in the evening and told us it was not allowed to stay overnight and the Calgary parking authority might give us a ticket. We stayed anyway as it was late in the evening, and fortunately no one showed up.
