Description
Home of the famous Icelandic poet Stephan G. Stephansson.
Costumed guides offer tours of the home, sharing insights into his life and poetry.
There are also interpretive panels outside.
The visitor centre is free, with a giftshop, some tourist information, and a washroom.
The visitor centre and its washroom are wheel-chair accessible; portions of the home are not.
The entry fee and all purchases are cash-only, and there is no cash machine on site.
For 2022, the site was open Wednesday-Sunday, 10AM to 5PM, May 18 - September 3.
