Description
This compact forested site offers 4 tenting sites and good access to the lake, boat launch & dock. Great views of Hudson Bay Mountain. This lake is the headwaters to the Copper (Zymoetz) River which travels to Terrace. A trail along the lakeshore leaves from the campsite, and nearby is the Silvern Lakes Recreation Trail (approx. 4km east).
Driving Directions: Take the Hudson Bay Mountain Road from Smithers to approx. the 12km mark. Turn onto the McDonnell Lake Road and travel another 13 km.

Stunning rec site with lakefront camping sites. Don't attempt with a large RV or trailer, but anything 20ft or shorter should be good. Make sure to hike to Crater lake from the ski resort on the way!

Really nice Spot! 4 tent sites next to the Lake.Possible with small campers.20km good/wide gravelroad.

Road in is well graded, not a ton of logging traffic when we were there. Bit of an odd setup with 2 tent sites accessed through 2 drive up sites, but there are picnic benches for every site. As a warning, at high winds, there are a few flagged off danger trees that you'd want to avoid sleeping close to.
