Description

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Riondel, BC, is a magical place where majestic old-growth cedars tower over lush ferns and many trails. For the past 60 years, Riondel Community Campground has invited campers to experience the idylls of nature: panoramic mountain views, tall trees, and pristine waters. Right on the shore of Kootenay Lake, and with many local attractions, theres always something waiting to be explored at Riondel Community Campground. Our 43 diverse campsites provide an exceptional range of choice, from shoreline camping to sleeping amongst the old-growth cedars. Most sites have a fire ring. Community fire-pits and picnic tables are on-site for use. Potable water is available, but not at each site. We have sites for tents and for large RVs. To operate as Green as possible and to limit the impact on this pristine area, our sites are not powered. Generators are welcome, usage is limited to certain time please ask Camp Attendant! This ensures all guests experience the quiet beauty of Riondel Community Campground. We now offer two tent-only sites, shoreline camping on a raised tent platform (based on single adult occupancy& up to 1 extra person). BOOKING PRIORITY is to cyclists, canoers/kayakers and hikers (non-motorized vehicle access). Firewood is available (cash-basis only). Please see Camp Attendant for firewood. Hot showers are available, comfort while you camp! These are coin operated. Sani-dump registered guests $6.00 - unregistered guests $12.00 Campground open April to Mid October.
