Walk in wilderness camping. Fees are only collected from May 1 to September 30 when backcountry services are provided. Self-registration vaults are located at the San Josef River boat launch and trailhead or you can use the Backcountry Registration System.

Very nice beach and surrounding nature. Not really suitable for swimming because of strong currents and shallow waters.
