Beautiful view over the mountains on the campground. If you have a site in the forest you get lots of privacy, sites on the fields have none. Only 1 toilet (men) and 3 for women (1 worked fine, other one broken and the last one without a lock) to share with the whole campground and 4 showers. And it's all pretty gross.. We had 2 nights, but skipped the last one. Trains coming by now and then with much noise (but that's something you already now when you're going here)

Pros: Close to Golden On River Decent Supplies in Store Wifi that worked v.well We saw some Bighorn sheep Some nice trails Cons: Waaaaaaay Overpriced Slightly unkempt Right next to a m'f****n cargo train line (trains loud all evening and night) Sites near the river are on top of each other (zero to no privacy) (wooded sites seemed marginally better in this regard) Washrooms a little unclean and spooky at night Power hook ups for RVs seemed decent. However, this place has zero vibes. Wouldn't know how to even categorise this place / family friendly, I guess ? Fun, Probably not ? Serves a purpose ? Sure.

Schön gelegener Campground nahe Golden. Rundum der Blick auf die Berge ist klasse. Die Campsites im kleinen Wald sind grosszügig, man hat Privatsphäre, Tisch+Bänke stehen bereit. Die Duschen und WCs sind ok, glänzen aber nicht mit Sauberkeit. Wir haben keine Züge gehört.
