We stayed there overnight and hadn't any trouble. But it's quite busy there cause of dog owners and smokers.

Nice Park with beach access, bbq kiosk and kajak rental. Mostly a family area with lots of opportunities for kids to play. Not sure whether day use only because of missing signs.
