The lady in the visitor center called it the best hike in the park. I agree!It's actually better to up with the short cut and down the long way but we did the opposite and were very lucky cause it cleared up on the way up for a couple minutes and we hat a awesome view on the mountains. After that it was pretty cloudy..but still a very awesome hike

Starts at Illecillewaet Campground. 6.8km one way and 1,029m elevation gain. A very beautiful trail especially for sunny days. Perfect for a half day trip. Good to walk but pretty steep and also exhausting in some areas. Bring enough drinking water and a snack. Takes 6-8h for round trip. I personally recommend the long trail and not the shortcut.
