Description
Wedgeport Nature Trails is located in the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region and offers stacked loop trail system (total 5.4 km) with areas such as barrier-beach ponds, the Tusket River estuary, a mixed-wood forest and coastal marshes. The trail provides opportunities to view a variety of wildlife.
This trail system begins at the parking lot off the end of the pavement off Highway 344 near the Wedgeport Tuna Museum. There are signs indicating both the beginning and the end of the trail.
Wedgeport is located within the only UNESCO Starlight tourist certified area in North America. The trail includes a public, wheelchair accessible Starlight viewing platform with tables and benches, located near the edge of the ocean, that is free of charge for all who visit.

Secluded pull off with nice views over the water. Has a picnic table but no other facilities. No signs forbidding overnight stays. Great spot for sunsets and star gazing. Trailhead starts here. Not the biggest parking space so may not suit large rigs.
