Busy Beaver Campground & RV Trailer Park is located on the historical St. Joseph Island, 60km east of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. St. Joseph Island is the 2nd largest inland island in North America, and the second largest producer of maple syrup next to Quebec! The location is picture-perfect. Nature abounds throughout the island, sighting many species. We are open from the May long weekend to October 1st, and serve travelers near Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area. We are a small 37-site seasonal campground offering excellent camping experiences for all age groups. A family-friendly atmosphere will ensure that your stay is both relaxing and enjoyable. You can stay a night, a week, or all season! The campground is located on a gorgeous spring-fed and unpolluted inland lake, perfect for swimming and fishing (pike, perch and the elusive splake). Our sandy beach is very kid friendly. The lake supports all watercraft, from small sailboats, kayaks, Seadoo's, and smaller power boats. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times. ATV's are invited to explore the surrounding trails. Most of our RV sites have great lake views for you to enjoy. Water and power are provided at all sites. Most have septic, if not, we have a dumping station for your use. Seasonals are available and transients are welcome (please call for availability)! We also have a private tenting area if you like to rough it (not really rough, but they are private).
