Description

Rouge Beach Park is located at the mouth of the Rouge River. The Rouge River and its main tributary Little Rouge Creek, flow through an area that remains largely undeveloped. Red clay in the river's banks give the water a distinct colour as it flows towards Lake Ontario, hence its name given by early eighteenth century explorers. The expansive sandy beach at Lake Ontario, is one of the eleven swimmable beaches in City of Toronto. Vehicular access is not allowed after 11:15 PM and the gates are locked at this time. No camping or overnight parking.
