Monument of a Canada Goose located at the junction of Highway 17 and 101, right next door to the Tourist Information Centre.
With Wawa meaning Wild Goose or Land of the Big Goose in Ojibway, it makes perfect sense to have a goose welcoming visitors at the entrance of town.
No camping or overnight parking.

Shapeshifter
A must stop for road attractions! Fun spot to take photos with the goose. Travel information centre is right behind, it was closed but they had a booth set up outside. Bathrooms were open to use and very clean and free wifi! Lots of parking and space for bigger trailers and rvs. One of the first stops in wawa right off the highway, 5 mins from the downtown
