Description
61km² parc with many km of hiking trails that reach the highest peak in Estrie. With its 1193 meters altitude, Mont Gosford is the 7th highest peak in Quebec and offers a breathtaking 360 ° view, not only on the vast wild and mountainous expanse of the states of Maine and New Hampshire, but also on the natural region of the border mountains of the Lac-Mégantic region.
As you walk the various trails along the territory, whether on the ridges or at the bottom of the valleys, you will discover breathtaking landscapes, diverse forests and abundant wildlife.
Pets are permitted.
For an unforgettable night under the stars, extend your stay by renting a rustic camp, a refuge, a three-sided shelter or a camping platform.
The trails are accessible every day except during the moose hunting period.
In the summer season, the reception desk is open from Sunday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You are invited to self-register when you arrive at reception. A trail and territory map is on sale at the reception.
You are a fan of wild camping, at Mont Gosford you have the possibility of camping on the whole territory (except the ecological reserve) No reservation is required for wilderness camping . There are also several semi-furnished sites with dry toilet, fire pit and picnic table.
You have the choice of a site with platform or without platform.
Since the number of semi-furnished pitches is limited, it is preferable to book by telephone in advance if you want a specific pitch.
All pitches with platform are accessible by foot only while the majority of pitches without platform are also accessible by car.
