N.B. 2025-04: Overnight stay in the parking lot is NOT permitted anymore (see my review LePenseur).
Leamy Lake Park occupies 174 hectares on Fournier Boulevard in the Hull sector, and is accessible by the Leamy Lake Pathway.
Leamy Lake Park contains important archaeological sites, revealing that people occupied this area as early as 5,000 to 6,000 years ago. The northern section of the park is also an exceptional site for birdwatching, where more than 30 species of birds have been observed.
To reach the lake by boat, you must go through the Leamy Lake Navigation Channel. This channel also leads to Lac de la Carrière and the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
Surrounded by Leamy Lake, and the Gatineau and Ottawa rivers, the park is an excellent spot for outdoor sports and recreational activities. The park has a supervised beach for swimming, two volleyball courts, a playground for children, a picnic area and concessions.

Good place to stay for a night, youth is loud in the night.

2025-04: Web: Overnight parking in the main Leamy Lake Park parking lots is not permitted. The City of Gatineau has implemented bylaws that explicitly forbid overnight parking and camping in all municipal parking areas, including those at Leamy Lake. Enforcement is active: visitors have reported being asked to leave by park guards or police if found in the lot after closing hours, which are typically 10:00 PM during peak season and earlier in the spring and fall.
