Description

The West Block wilderness area of the park southwest of Maple Creek on Hwy #271, offers seasonal rustic camping and equestrian camping on a first come basis. For those who like to camp in places less traveled two campgrounds with basic services are available. The equestrian campground also offers basic services: corrals, tie stalls, and access to water ... and that's just for the horses. Human companions will be well looked after as well, with limited-service camping spots located in the vicinity of the corrals. Picnic tables, barbecues, garbage cans and out houses are provided. Drinking water is available. Trail maps and trail/road information are available at the West Block Ranger Station (306) 662-5489. Open May long weekend to Labour Day.
