Description

Free public camping area on the Yukon River at the historic Forty Mile townsite. This is a walk-in campsite and there is no vehicle access. Facilities include toilets, picnic tables, rubbish bins and fire pits. Please camp inside the designated area and guard your camp fires. Boil your drinking water for 10 minutes. Be bear aware; put all your garbage in the bear-proof containers, do not keep food in your tent and do not feed the wildlife. The camping area is located along the Forty-Mile Townsite Walking Tour.

Beautiful campground in Forty Mile. Plenty of space, firewood and tables. The caretakers live onsite work hard to maintain this site. One building is setup as an emergency shelter. It appears to be accessible by motorbike or ATV.
